Okay. The "best thing" might be an exaggeration.
And "all damn week" incorrectly implies the very latest things.
So: Here's some neat stuff I stumbled across at some point.
The Inverted Bike Shop
/This is an entirely different spin on a bike shop. (Get it? Spin? Because bike shop!)
It's actually an entirely different spin on business too. Or at least an example of looking at how things "are supposed to be done/have always been done" and going the opposite direction.
I'm not a super bike geek (my geekdom these days leans toward tents and packs and Citra-hopped ales). But these guys have me rethinking things a bit.
Making a monster
/Last week I posted Brandon Semenuk's single-shot unReal segment. If you haven't seen it, scroll down or hit this link. Then take a look at the Making Of video below. Obviously his ride is incredible. But the shot itself is the real stunner here. I sometimes prefer not knowing how things were done. But in this case, holy moly.
Download the complete film on iTunes now: http://radi.al/unReal. unReal is available for digital download on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, and more and is currently on a worldwide film tour. Last week, Teton Gravity Research (TGR) and Anthill Films released one of the most acclaimed segments from unReal, Brandon Semenuk's "One Shot" segment.
"Routine is the enemy of time"
/A great piece on the importance of breaking free from the ruts we create for ourselves.
Of seeing the world as it truly is, not just as we know it to be.
I hope that this film is a healthy nudge for people to shake up their lives a little bit. Jed's radical choice to quit his job and ride his bike across the world is a perfect challenge to the rest of us to get out of the routine and make some scary decisions. If you're afraid of a decision ahead of you, you're probably on the right track. Choose it. ! Follow Jed's adventures @jedidiahjenkins My Instaspam @kennyjamez
